On June 16, Teamsters passed a strike authorization vote with 97% of union members voting in favor of a strike action, which will allow the union to strike if they deem necessary. The union walked away from the bargaining table Wednesday and demanded that UPS present its "last, best and final offer no later than June 30." After two months of negotiations with UPS, the Teamsters, who represent rank-and-file employees, say a nationwide strike is "imminent."
